E20 means drain fault. The machine could not drain — water is left in the drum. E21 means draining was too slow.

Safe checks, in order of likelihood
- Unplug. Open the filter flap at the bottom-front and lay towels down.
- Unscrew the filter cap slowly, drain and clear fluff, coins and clips.
- Check the drain hose is not kinked and the standpipe is clear.
- Run a Drain/Spin programme and listen for the pump.
