What that error code means — and what you can safely check

Hoover washing machine error codes

Hoover washing machines show E-number codes (sometimes prefixed with "Err"). E03 (drain), E02 (fill) and E01 (door) are the most commonly reported by owners across Hoover and Candy model lines.

E01Door faultOften fixable at homeThe door is not detected as closed and locked, so the programme will not start.

Safety first

Unplug before any check. Never open panels beyond the filter flap. Anything involving internal wiring, the heater or gas must go to a professional — see each code page for its "call a professional when" line.
